Janet’s design skills were put to the test in my home recently and the results are that my home interior now matches my heart. Everything I love is now placed in such a way as to provide a stylish, yet warm and comfortable look to my rather small bungalow-style home. She was able to incorporate my husband’s challenging technological needs (large tv, Bose sound system, DVD player, Wii system) with my need for certain aesthetics. Additionally, she provided more spacious surroundings that allow us to entertain a bigger crowd.
She herself is entertaining, and the one-day re-design process was an exciting day for me. Although I could have opted for a surprise “reveal” at the end of the day, I chose to hang around the house and do chores while watching her progress. While moving my grandfather clock several times, I learned from Janet how important half an inch can be. I also learned that light, placement and balance is critical to the final look when I received rave reviews of my “new” home interior from family and friends.
My adult daughter did not know that I had three beautiful antique stained glass windows, or three lovely lamps until after the redesign. (When I bought the stained glass windows and propped them on a shelf against a wall, I was puzzled why no one commented on their beauty) Now they are prominent, along with everything else we’ve collected over the years, and the beauty of each of our “treasures” is obvious. We couldn’t be happier with the redesign.
